Anna tell me something you enjoy about working in brand design PR?

Anna: I enjoy the variety of topics that a day working in brand design can cover. Design touches everyone’s lives in ways many people often don't realise, so I could be writing about anything from sustainability to Christmas adverts to workplace management. It keeps me on my toes and always learning.

What’s an exciting thing you‘ve noticed in brand design right now?

The fusion of design and sustainability. Just because it’s good for the planet doesn’t mean it has to be impractical or look boring. Witnessing the ways different brands and agencies are tackling the problem of waste and unsustainable practices is heartening and exciting.

Share a piece of career advice that’s been helpful to you.

Everything is a lesson. Sometimes things go wrong, people behave badly, or you end up doing jobs you don’t like, but once they’re over you will always have learned something: whether that’s about who you are or who you don’t want to be, or simply what not to do next time.

If you hadn’t worked in brand design PR what would you do?

Writing has always been my passion. I’ve been lucky enough to write about a variety of topics throughout my career – from education, science, arts and now brand design – but travel is my other love, so I’d like to think there’s a world where I could combine both.
