Rebecca joined Red Setter in spring 2024 and through her love for culture and writing has been able to capture her client's thoughts and ideas, and create some amazing PR moments through the media and beyond.

Here Rebecca gives us an insight into what makes her tick and her thoughts about working in brand design PR...

Rebecca tell me something you enjoy about working in brand design PR?

The people. Everyone is so interesting, I love having conversations with clients and colleagues whether it be about the news of the day, culture, what’s going viral online, etc.

It’s fascinating how so much of what’s happening in the world ties back to design!

What’s an exciting thing you‘ve noticed in brand design right now?

The rise of experiential brand design - going beyond just visual appeal and tapping into the entire sensory experience of a brand. Whether through pop-ups or unique packaging, brands are turning passive moments into memorable, interactive experiences - and I think that’s super exciting.

Share a piece of career advice that’s been helpful to you.

I suffer from a bit of imposter syndrome every now and then, and one thing that’s been really helpful is remembering that everyone experiences self-doubt - but acknowledging your achievements, seeking feedback, and focusing on progress rather than comparison can help you recognise your value and grow your confidence.

If you hadn’t worked in brand design PR what would you do?

I’d probably be doing something in music 🎶

Everything I do outside of work is pretty much music-related from doing a bit of freelance journalism to being in a band. Sometimes music plays into brand design though - so there’s always potential for some crossover.
