Set the Agenda - Autumn 2025 (design events to get inspired by!)

Abi Summers

Junior Account Executive

The summer is over, and we’re all feeling that ‘back to school’ mood. Another autumn has crept around and lands with a bang in the design world as it sees some of the most exciting design events go live, including the always iconic London Design Festival.

After a summer of Aperol Spritz in far flung places (or Brighton Beach), it’s time to get out, get inspired and fuel your creativity.

What does your autumn look like?

World Design Congress - 9-10 September

For the first time in 50 years, the World Design Congress is coming back to London. It was last hosted at the Southbank Centre in London back in 1969 (the sixth edition). This year, it will be hosted at the iconic Barbican Centre with the theme ‘Design for the Planet’. Over two days the festival will include keynotes, discussions, workshops, book launches and other hands-on activations, placing design at the heart of our world’s future.

London Design Festival – 13-21 September

The 23rd edition will be taking place across the city, bringing together London’s expansive design scene and attracting some of the biggest names in the industry. There will be design districts, numerous events and the legendary Global Design Forum to discuss some of the hottest topics in design right now. We’re excited to see the Otl Aicher (1922-1991) ‘Legacy Archive’ in Shoreditch’s Design Triangle, curated by design agency Wiedemann Lampe. It’s a chance to get up close and personal with the legendary German designer’s influential work, with a number of items for sale.

My Life in Design Podcast live at D&AD – 16 September

Launching the new series (series 9) is Lisa Smith, the new Global Chief Design Officer at Uncommon Creative Studio. Lisa will be doing a live interview with podcast host, our very own Claire Blyth, sharing her life in design so far, working with some major global brands and experiences at JKR and Wolff Olins. The recording will be at D&AD HQ in London and tickets are free and going fast!

Dutch Design Week – 18-26 October

This week-long celebration in Eindhoven is proudly known as the largest design festival in Northern Europe. In the 25th edition, the event is embracing both reflection and progress with the theme: Past. Present. Possible. An important call to keep room for experimentation. Thousands of (inter)national young and iconic designers will present their work in public squares, former factories, and key locations across the city. Don’t expect polished end products, but raw ideas, critical questions and sensory experiences.

OFFF Sevilla – 27-29 November

OFFF continues to deliver world leading experiences for the international design community and the latest stop in Seville will bring together global and local creatives for talks, workshops, and performances across design, motion, branding, and tech. Promising to inspire, speakers include David Carson, Erin Sarofsky, Mitch Monsen, Johanna Jaskowska, Base Design, and Lo Siento, with hands-on workshops and bilingual sessions enriching the experience. Rooted in Seville’s cultural heritage, the festival blends international talent with Andalusian creativity for three days of inspiration and connection. See you there for the Sangria soaked design!
