As an Account Executive, you’ll be part of a small team with a global impact – joining a Senior Account Director, Account Manager and Editorial Consultant – which means direct contact and face time with international clients.
Our brightest ideas are based on sound strategic insights, so we’ll brief you on our client’s strategies and expect you to contribute ideas that hit these long-term goals.
Your core responsibilities will be:
- Proactively contributing to the delivery of media and social media activity and results including media pitching, drafting editorial commentary and LinkedIn posts on behalf of clients
- Creation of client updates (e.g. cuttings, LinkedIn posts for coverage, draft meeting notes)
- Reporting activity and results to clients in person, via Zoom and by email
- Updating internal and external reports
- Maintenance of internal communication, written and verbal
- Supporting on day-to-day client liaison
- Researching information for editorial where needed
- Sourcing relevant news stories and angles that our clients can contribute to
- Providing administrative support where needed
We’ll work closely with you to show you how to do all this at Red Setter, to immerse you in our clients, our media and our sector, but we will be keen for you to take ownership of the role as quickly as possible. We want you to be the person your team and you clients rely on for media knowledge and coverage.
No two days here are the same. You could be working on media outreach for a new beer brand one day, publicising the launch of a Facebook app the next, and then announcing new album artwork for the Beatles – all in one week!

Juggling multiple projects means adaptability is crucial. We work fast to stay ahead of the curve and don’t stop until our clients get the recognition they deserve, so the ability to work quickly and efficiently is key. We want plate spinners, able to discuss new ideas in new sectors with new people every day.
Storytelling sits at the heart of everything we do and draws on the inside knowledge of our entire team – and our clients. We’ll be looking to you to share ideas and angles, insights from your research and anecdotes from what you’ve read or heard. So don’t be shy – we need ideas people. And as an editorially led PR agency, you need to be able to write standout copy that inspires our clients and catches the interest of high-level editors.

Hours: Full time (9am-5pm) Monday to Friday
Salary: From £24k, dependent on experience
We love our bright, modern office in the heart of (sometimes) sunny Brighton, and while our whole team works flexibly, agreeing the right mix of in-office and remote working for them, the role of Account Executive is one that is predominantly in the office.
Consistent training and feedback play a pivotal role at Red Setter, and we see this position as a starting point with great scope for progression and development. You will receive in-depth training and coaching from your team, and will steadily grow your skills, confidence and ability to deliver for our clients.
