The role

As an Account Executive / Senior Account Executive, you’ll be media lead on part of an established team – which means direct contact and face time with international journalists and clients.

You will be working across 5-6 established and retained clients currently based in London, Toronto, San Diego, and New York, and you will be the person they look to to land the media placements.

Your core responsibilities will be:

• Leading on media outreach – pitching our clients to journalists, securing placements, managing press comment opportunities (relevant news stories and angles that our clients can lead a conversation on)
• Building on media relationships – developing close relationships with journalists, podcast hosts and event organisers across creative, business, industry, marketing, and national platforms
• Writing for the media – drafting standout pitches and comments, and reviewing longform copy prepared by the senior members of your team
• Strategic understanding – ensuring everything you are doing contributes to our client strategies and objectives
• Leading on reporting – keeping our client PR Reports accurate and up to date in real time
• Story development – supporting your team in developing media-worthy stories from client thinking and projects
• Providing administrative support where needed

We’ll work closely with you to show you how to do all this at Red Setter, to immerse you in our clients, our media and our sector, but we will be keen for you to take ownership of the role as quickly as possible.

Person specification

First and foremost, we want people who are passionate about design. We want people who are excited and inspired by our clients’ work

Juggling multiple projects means the ability to work quickly and efficiently is key. We want plate spinners, able to discuss new ideas in new sectors with new people every day.

Storytelling sits at the heart of everything we do, so we need people with strong writing and idea development skills.

We want people who sit forward, bring ideas, and then have the can-do mindset to make those ideas happen.

Details

Hours: Full time (9am to 5pm) Monday to Friday, in the office a minimum of 3 days per week (typically Monday to Wednesday).

Salary: From £26k - 35k dependent on experience

We love our office in the heart of North Laine in (sometimes) sunny Brighton.

Consistent training and feedback play a pivotal role at Red Setter, and this position has great scope for progression and development. You will receive in-depth training and coaching from your team, and will steadily grow your skills, confidence and ability to deliver for our clients.
