Lily joined us as an intern back in 2022 whilst in the third year of her Media and Cultural Studies degree at Sussex University. She impressed us so much that we offered her a full-time job on graduation and was recently promoted to senior account executive as she's continued to grow and impress with her attitude, enthusiasm and natural aptitude for PR and passion for the design industry.

Here Lily gives us an insight to her thoughts about working in brand design PR...

Lily tell me something you enjoy about working in brand design PR?

I find the diversity of topics in a day working in brand design PR fascinating. Design influences everyone's lives in ways that often go unnoticed. From exploring what whisky can learn from tequila and rum to balancing instinct with data, there's always something new to learn.

What’s an exciting thing you‘ve noticed in brand design right now?

Seeing the rise of authenticity and inclusivity is exciting right now. Brands are increasingly striving to reflect diverse perspectives and connect with audiences on a deeper, more meaningful level. It's not just about aesthetics anymore; it's about creating genuine connections and fostering a sense of belonging.

Share a piece of career advice that’s been helpful to you.

Never stop learning and evolving. Brand design PR evolves with new tech, trends, and behaviours. Stay curious and keep up with industry changes.

If you hadn’t worked in brand design PR what would you do?

I’ve always thought it would be cool to work in events. I love creating moments and experiences for people.

Or I’ve watched so much Below Deck I think I’d make a pretty decent yachtie by now.
