My Life in Design Podcast - Kerry Bolt & Shaun Bowen of B&B studio

Vicky Stoakes

Communications Director

In this episode of "My Life in Design," host Claire Blyth talks with Sean Bowen and Kerry Bolt from B&B studio. They discuss their career paths, with Sean detailing his formative experiences at Lewis Moberly and Pearlfisher. They recount the founding of B&B during a recession, starting in a small Hoxton Square space with an intern and freelancers, and growing to a team of eight to ten within 18 months. They emphasise the importance of connections in acquiring their first clients, many from the food and drink industry, including their first client Bear (formerly Urban Fresh Fruit). The conversation also touches on the excitement and challenges of working with startups and founders, the collaborative nature of their work, and the creative inspiration they draw from the people and ideas they encounter.

The podcast is a partnership between Red Setter and the Design Business Association.
